You're Invited to Visit SBU Bolivar

Take the next step in becoming a Bearcat and schedule your campus visit. You’ll get a better idea of how SBU can be the perfect fit for you in your college journey as you walk through campus and experience Bolivar for yourself. Tour campus, meet one-on-one with an admissions counselor, and introduce yourself to a faculty member in your area of study (optional, as available). Plus, you may qualify for a travel reimbursement for visiting.

Campus Visit Options

Individual Campus Visit

In-person campus visits will include a campus tour, a one-on-one meeting with an admissions counselor, and a meeting with a faculty member in your area of study (optional, as available). Tour days are offered Monday–Saturday and are based on availability in our scheduling calendar.

Group Visit Events

SBU's Bolivar campus offers several visit events throughout the year. These events allow you the opportunity to tour campus, interact with faculty and students, meet your admissions counselor, and enjoy a meal in the SBU cafeteria. Monday, February 19 | SBU Showcase

Spend the morning with us at SBU to tour campus, learn about financial aid opportunities, interact with faculty and current students, and more! You'll also enjoy lunch in our campus Marketplace. Don't miss this convenient opportunity to learn how SBU can help you accomplish your goals.

Friday/Saturday, March 15-16 | Spring Bearcat Days

This unique visit event gives you the chance to live like a Bearcat, as you will spend the night in one of our residence halls with current SBU students while also meeting faculty, eating in our dining Marketplace, and touring our campus during the beautiful spring season in Southwest Missouri.

Friday, April 19 | Junior Preview Day

SBU Junior Preview Day is a great opportunity for you and your family to experience firsthand what an SBU education can offer you! As you interact with faculty and current students, tour our inviting campus, and enjoy a lunch on us, our hope is to reflect the caring, Christ-centered community of SBU. We'd love to have you join us!

Travel Reimbursement

We want you to come see for yourself how you can find your purpose at SBU. Visiting campus is an essential part of the college search process and we want to help! Sign up above for a visit event or schedule your personal visit and you could receive financial help with travel expenses.
To qualify for travel reimbursement, you must apply for admission and be accepted at SBU prior to your campus visit. The travel reimbursement offer applies only to students applying to undergraduate programs on the Bolivar campus.

If you live within the following distances from SBU, you may be eligible for the travel reimbursement offer:

100–250 miles: up to $50 in travel expenses
251–500 miles: up to $150 in travel expenses
501+ miles: up to $300 in travel expenses

Because they may take advantage of other offers, recruited athletes are not eligible for the travel reimbursement program.
